MULTILIT reading programs for students

Enrolment in a MULTILIT Reading Program is open to students whose MULTILIT Reading Assessment results indicate that they would benefit from a program.

MULTILIT Reading Programs operate on a 10-week term basis with four terms in a year. Students initially enroll for one term and their progress is assessed regularly. Fees for all programs include a printed review assessment at the end of each term. Tutoring sessions are conducted at the MULTILIT Clinic in Macquarie Park.

Those students who are not as far behind in their literacy skills may progress sufficiently to require only one term of MULTILIT instruction. Other children may need to participate for two or more terms in one program and/or as they progress, transfer to less intensive programs. Recommendations about further enrolment are made towards the end of each term based on the child's progress.

Please note: An initial assessment is a pre-requisite to enrolling into any of our clinic programs. The cost of the assessment is $295 (or $250 if paid when booking).

MULTILIT Intensive Program

$2,950 per term.

MULTILIT North Ryde Clinic

As its name suggests, this is the most intensive program we offer. Students in years 3-6 leave their regular school for three hours a morning, five days a week to attend this literacy program. In a small classroom setting, staffed by a minimum of two teaching staff, plus educational consultants, students receive small group and individualised instruction.

MULTILIT Individual Program

2-day program $1,950 (10-week term)
3-day program $2,500 (10-week term)

MULTILIT Bondi Junction ClinicThis program delivers high-level one-to-one instruction by a trained MULTILIT educator over two or three one-hour sessions per week, with at least one day in between two sessions. Regular testing is conducted and the program altered to maximise the student's progress. Students can enrol in an Individual Program anytime throughout the 10-week term. Sessions are available before, during or after school.

MULTILIT Independent

$525 per term, plus parent training (see next panel).

Since not everyone is able to bring their child to The MULTILIT Centre weekly due to distance or time constraints, the Independent Program is delivered entirely at home with support being provided each fortnight by a MULTILIT Clinician by means of mail, phone, fax and/or email contact.

Before the student commences this program, parents attend a MULTILIT training session. Materials to deliver the program are provided on loan for the term.

Please note: Only parents or caregivers can deliver the program.

MULTILIT Monitoring Program

$895 per term, plus parent training (see below).

This program involves the parent or caregiver being trained to deliver the MULTILIT program at home. On at least four days per week for about 45-minutes per day, the parent carries out the instruction at home with the child. Once a week, the student attends a half-hourly session where his/her progress is reviewed, program adjustments are made and the parent can seek any clarification needed. Monitoring sessions are available during or after school Monday through Friday.

Materials required to deliver the program are provided on loan for the term.

Please note: Only parents or caregivers can deliver the program.

Training for Monitoring and Independent Parents

$300 one time fee

Before the student commences the Monitoring or Independent Programs, a training session must be attended by one or both parents or caregivers to learn how to deliver the program at home. The fee is $300 for one day of training held at our clinic in North Ryde, whether one or two people attend. Lunch and morning tea are included.

Refundable Deposit

A refundable deposit of $500 must be paid prior to the commencement of the monitoring or independent programs for materials loaned. This deposit will be refunded once all the materials have been returned in reusable condition.
